Courtney is an Occupational Therapy Assistant from Pflugerville, TX. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences for Occupational Therapy at Murray State College in Tishomingo, OK. In addition, Courtney holds an Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Austin Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Kaplan University. Courtney has been a practicing COTA in Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas for the past 2 years. Courtney is a kid at heart and her passion is to work with pediatrics!
Courtney is certified in integrated listening systems (iLs) and has studied some American Sign Language. She has experience with the Handwriting Without Tears program, Brain Gym Program, Interactive Metronome Program and Wilbarger Protocol. Courtney’s focus in therapy is to implement creative activities to address goals set for each individual child. It is her practice to encourage child-centered therapy and challenge each child to become more independent and functional in their daily activities. Courtney is always looking at new evidenced-based treatments to implement into therapy sessions.
In her spare time, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and 1 year old son, friends and church family. She loves going to the movies, singing and crafting. Courtney is currently trying her hand at quilting, too!
